Summers at the beach are best experienced along the coast of South Carolina, in my personal opinion. I grew up taking summer vacations there and now that I’m an adult it’s still one of my most preferred places. We stay in one of the Surfside Beach beach houses whenever we can and have everything we need right there. 
We’re in the process of scheduling a trip there this month for the Beach Blast Christmas Music Festival being held on May 19th in Myrtle Beach. The performers that will be playing include Toby Mac, Third Day, Red, Jamie Grace, Royal Tailor, Emcee KJ-52 and Outcast BMX. Special guest speaker Nick Hall will also be at the event. The Beach Blast Christian Music Festival will be held Saturday, May 19 in downtown Myrtle Beach between 8th and 9th Avenues North on Ocean Boulevard.
Any time our family is asked to make a referral for where to stay when in the Myrtle Beach area we always send them to Surfside Realty. Just back from a fishing trip to Lake Marion, North Carolina, where the fish were practically jumping in the boat. They definitely were lined up waiting to strike because every time we cast our line in we pulled a lunker back out again! While we were there we stayed at Clark’s Restaurant & Inn and that was quite comfortable I must say. While we enjoyed dining there as well we did go out and try some other Santee restaurants in the area but we really weren’t that happy with them. 
Clark’s had everything we needed right there on-site where we were staying and with a restaurant serving three full meals and a pub there too, what more could we possibly need. Oh yeah, I should mention the spa and swimming pool. As it turned out we needed those too. In another month or so we’ll be headed back over there to get more fish…and maybe another spa treatment.
They were explaining to us that Clark’s is the oldest of all the Santee restaurants in the area and that they opened their doors in 1946. I would have to say that after dining there and at the other Santee restaurants I have to tell you, Clark’s is way better than the others. They have a large selection of meals and lunch buffet to boot. We left with our stomachs full every time we dined with them and we didn’t empty our wallet to do it either.
At the top of my list of best vacations ever has to be the times I’ve taken North Myrtle Beach vacations. If you’ve not been to North Myrtle you need to pay it a visit. It’s a fabulous place for a family vacation or time away by yourself to hit the many golf courses in the area. I have never run into anyone who experienced North Myrtle Beach vacations that didn’t keep returning year after year as a result of their time spent here. It’s just that good.
If you love the sand and the surf, water sports, fishing, and anything ocean related, we have that here. If you love theatre there’s plenty of that too. History, museums, public gardens, and theatre shows aren’t to be missed either. But the shopping is superb with outlet malls, specialty malls, beach shops, you name it. In the 1,800 restaurants in the area you’ll never have to eat in the same place twice unless you want to.
North Myrtle Beach vacations can’t be beat in my personal opinion. You’ll have to come and find out for yourself how much fun it is. There’s always special events and festivities taking place in the area.
